The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
- Glycolic Acid: A natural exfoliant found in unripe grapes and sugar beets
- Gluconolactone: A polyhydroxy acid that helps to even the skin tone
- Salicylic Acid: Oil-soluble exfoliant that helps clear blocked pores and refines texture

Feels refreshing
The product feels nice and refreshing, it feels like it really cleans the skin without being heavy. Not scented heavily scented either. I would say to use a moisturiser after use as it can be slightly drying #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Not for me
I tested this for a week. I’ve got combination skin so I thought this would work for me. However, it dried my face out too much and it didn’t feel hydrated. This product would suit people with quite oily and acne prone skin. However it’s not for me. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

A Good Staple
Note: I have combination skin This facewash is a good addition to a simple skincare routine; it cleanses well, it's easy to use and does not run out quickly. I did not feel that my skin dried out quickly with this, but I chose to only use it in the morning. I'm not so sure that it kept breakouts at bay, but I do feel that it kept my skin very clean and possibly prevented it from getting oily. It did not produce amazing results but it also wasn't too bad. It got the main job done, which is to cleanse. Jury's still out on this one, so I'll keep using it until it runs out. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Not for me (Dry skin type)
