The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
- Glycolic Acid: A natural exfoliant found in unripe grapes and sugar beets
- Gluconolactone: A polyhydroxy acid that helps to even the skin tone
- Salicylic Acid: Oil-soluble exfoliant that helps clear blocked pores and refines texture

Left my skin clean but not stripped
I’ve been having breakouts recently which have been concerning so I was really pleased to try this product. It applies and lathers easily. It doesn’t have a strong scent which further confirms the ingredients aren’t too harsh for your face. Highly recommend
I have tried so many face washes as I struggle with large pores and this has helped so much. I have used Neutrogena products in the past so I knew it would be good and I certainly wasn't disappointed.

Great cleanser for blemish-prone skin

Good Product
The Neutrogena cleanser works well to clean the skin, leaving it fresh and free of dirt and oil. However, it can be a bit drying, making the skin feel tight afterward. Clean and clear
I tried this thinking it might be the usual "clear" skin product, and expecting to breakout a bit before my skin would get used to it, but to my surprise, not only did my skin not break out at all, it has actually done a great deal to smoothen my skin and complexion a bit.
