The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
- Glycolic Acid: A natural exfoliant found in unripe grapes and sugar beets
- Gluconolactone: A polyhydroxy acid that helps to even the skin tone
- Salicylic Acid: Oil-soluble exfoliant that helps clear blocked pores and refines texture

Decent cleanser
I have used this product now for several weeks and whilst I have not noticed a huge difference in the my skin it does leave my skin feeling soft and clean. I have not experienced any break outs or reaction to this product. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Made my skin dry
Was looking forward to using this product however after one week I noticed my skin getting very dry after washing my face with this product. It stripped my skin of its natural oils and just made my skin feel rough. For reference I have normal to oily skin. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Fighting the acne fight
Absolutely loved this product, great smell, nice texture and definitely has made an improvement to my acne. I will say it does kind of overly lather so it does take a bit of work to get it off compared to other I’ve tried but that doesn’t bother me. I wish the bottle looked a bit more luxurious and less clinical but it does the job! Really glad to have tried it. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Effective
As someone with acne prone skin, salicylic acid and glycolic acid are staples in my skin care routine so I was happy to receive this facial cleanser. The facial wash is clear and foams when you massage onto your face with water. After using it for few days I noticed it’s effective but also very drying so I switch to using it 3 times a week at night only. It help reduce the appearance of new acne on my face and cleared my old one. Just make sure you use hydrating serums and a good moisturiser in the when using this product. I would definitely recommend but not for those with sensitive skin as it’s quite a strong product #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Healthier skin
My skin feels so much healthier, hydrated and glowy after using this cleanser. I have normal skin that suffers from blackheads and my skin is visibly clearer since using, my blackheads have pretty much vanished! Would highly recommend #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

It really helps with breakouts
