Nourish extremely dry hair with the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Rich Deep-Conditioning Treatment, specially formulated for Afro-Caribbean or Caucasian hair that is over-processed and damaged. Providing intense hydration, the conditioning ingredients really make a difference to dry and porous hair. Olive oil locks in moisture to add bounce and shine, whilst hydrolised elastin strengthens and adds elasticity to your hair.
Before shampooing, thoroughly wet hair and apply in sections. Work into hair with fingertips. Cover with a shower cap and leave for at least 20 minutes (preferably over 60 minutes). Rinse well and follow with the appropriate Philip Kingsley shampoo, conditioner and scalp toner. Finer hair textures should double-shampoo to remove all product. For best results use at least once a week.
- Give your hair an enhanced Elasticizer treat by covering with a shower cap and leaving on overnight
- Apply Elasticizer before working out, then shampoo out post-gym
- Use Elasticizer as a styling cream on natural tightly coiled hair

This product is hands down the most amazing high end product I have ever used. I make sure everyone I know is aware of this fabulous pre- treatment. This stuff has changed my hair for ever. I have relaxed hair and wore hair extensions for years after 2 months of using this I stopped hiding my hair because my own hair was better than the extensions. The texture of my hair changed, it became manageable, stronger, shiner and softer. Seriously, everyone always asks why my hair looks so healthy and long.....well this is the reason. The people I have recommend this product to have also reaped the same benefits. If you are toying with the idea of spending money on this product, don't it is truly amazing and you won't look back. This is one of those products that actually does what it claims and they cater for all hair types.

Essential!
I am of mixed heritage (Afro/Euro) so have thirsty curls! I recently had "the chop" and wanted to keep my hair nourished and protected. After reading several rave reviews about this product, I decided to shell out and try it for myself... I am so pleased I did!! I have thick shoulder length hair and was worried the small tub would be finished in one go... but it wasn't! After using twice a week for around a month I still have half a tub left. After washing out, I can feel the difference in my hair (this is probably due to the high % of castor oil this product contains... big big yes) it is much softer, stronger and less frizzy. I am now totally sold on pre-poos! The elasticizer did not leave any residue either... something I hate about other heavy products! The product is quite thick so you needn't use too much to cover the hair, so it will last! It has been very beneficial to the health of my hair and I will continue to be loyal to this product... the price tag is totally justified. However if you aren't willing to pay that much just yet, there are smaller sizes for less money that you could try out.

I've never been all that kind to my hair over the years; changing my style and colour more times than I can count. I hadn't been blonde though! So began my affair with bleaching.... While I tried my best to look after my new colour, it was drying out and I hadn't anticipated it would be as dry as it was (thanks to bleaching from a dyed mid brown to blonde) - oh how naive I was! I began doing my research and came across multiple sites and blogs telling me about this wonder cream. Admittedly I was sceptical especially after looking at the price, but I took the dive and I'm glad I did! I would not still be blonde if it weren't for this stuff. As my hair is wavy textured, bleached and porous I wet my hair before bed, pop this stuff on and comb it through (it's quite thick, but the consistency thins out on wet hair, so a little goes a long way), and stick a shower cap on to keep it moist overnight. The following morning I jump in the shower, rinse this off, then shampoo and condition as normal. Little fuss and great results! The best comments regarding my hair were from my colourist and hairdresser: "Wow considering how much bleach we've put on your hair over time, your hair is in decent shape!" If that's not proof it's great for highly porous hair, I don't know what is! It's definitely pricey, but well worth the investment. If you don't have bleached or afro-caribbean hair, I'd suggest getting the normal strength elasticizer.

Haven't had this product for that long, so have only been able to deep condition with it twice. I have afro-carribbean hair that has been chemically treated and recently it has been in need of some TLC. So far I am happy with the product, it has no odour at all which surprised me a little but I guess that must mean they left out the nasties such as parfum's and fragrances. Also i've never used a pre-shampoo treatment, other than a few hot oils that I didn't find my hair liked very much. After using this product my hair feels noticeably stronger and smoother. So far I am happy with the results so i'm sure after longer use the overall condition of my hair will improve. I use as instructed (leave on for 20 minutes before shampoo + conditioning) and it seems to work well. As of yet I do not follow up with the philip kingsley shampoo + conditioner as recommended, just because I can't justify the price right now but i'm sure with the whole range the results would be worth it. The product is expensive but it has a really thick consistency so fortunately a little goes a long way, and thats coming from someone who likes to slap on conditioners like my life depends on it. I know some people didn't agree with the consistency but on my afro-carribbean hair it did not feel tacky, oily or heavy at all and washed out with ease. I give it a 4/5 just because its gradually improving the condition of my hair in a short while but for the price I guess I was expecting miracles from the first wash.

I have fine, thin, bleached hair and can never, I repeat NEVER use conditioner of any kind without leaving my hair flat. When I read about this conditioner that you use prior to shampooing and it helps with damage and elasticity?? Well, I tried the small tube because I thought it was too good to be true. After the first use, I knew I had found something amazing! It is incredible how much it has changed the texture of my hair. It is so smooth and shiny without the breakage that I had before. The trick is to get your hair slightly damp and then not use too much and put one of those disposable shower caps on. I either sleep in it or put it on an hour or so prior to showering. You will be amazed at the difference in your damaged hair!! I have now ordered the LARGEST jar and will never be without it. Thank you for such a powerful product!

great hair mask!
I purchased this as an alternative to a kerastase product i was previously using. my hair is bleached blonde with very poor tensile strength. I've only used it twice but have noticed my hair is softer, more manageable. in saying that, i still feel overall elasticity and strength of my hair still has a long way to go, hoping after a few more treatments i will have a better idea of how much this has 'elasticized' my hair :)

I bought this a couple of weeks ago as I'm on a mission to get my hair healthy, long and glossy again for my wedding next year. Due to damage from heat styling and highlights, it's felt really weak and has been breaking easily for a while now. But wow! What a difference this has made already!! I've only used it 2 or 3 times and my hair is really silky smooth again and people have been commenting on how nice it looks! It doesn't feel heavy after using the treatment which I sometimes find after using deep conditioning treatments. The elasticizer has quite a heavy, gluey texture which I wasn't sure about when I first put it on, but it really does do the job and I can't rate it highly enough. Definitely worth the money!
