Gently cleanse and refresh with the Philip Kingsley Flaky/Itchy Scalp Shampoo; a gentle yet effective formula that helps to relieve itching and irritation for long-lasting comfort.
Mild enough for daily use, the anti-dandruff shampoo eliminates flaking and build-up, whilst soothing the scalp and leaving hair feeling soft, shiny and manageable from root to tip. The formula is armed with anti-microbial Piroctone Olamine, which works to relieve your scalp while clearing it of stubborn flakes and skin cell build-up. The gentle formula soothes dryness and irritation, and restores the scalp's microflora balance without stripping or drying hair. Soothe and calm your scalp with this refreshing Apple scented shampoo.
Vegan.
Use daily until scalp is clear, and thereafter at regular intervals as required. Apply to wet hair and lather, gently kneading the scalp for 60 seconds. Rinse well and repeat if necessary. Follow with the appropriate Philip Kingsley Conditioner and Flaky/Itchy Scalp Toner.

Works with patience
I didn’t use this every day as instructed on the bottle, more like every other day as per my usual hair washing routine. Most itching and flakes have gone after about 6 washes. Doesn’t lather up and is expensive but can live with both of those for it to work!

I’ve had dandruff on and off since pregnancy with my first around 7 years ago. It’s definitely hormonal and I’d experience regular flare ups with my period. I was previously in a viscous circle and when I’d have a flare up - I would itch and scratch so much, making the problem worse and the flare ups became a constant dry, itchy, flaky, embarrassing scalp. After trying EVERYTHING, including home made concoctions, I thought I was destined for dandruff forever. The clear T-gel (shampoo and conditioner in 1) helped me get it under control a little but not as much as I hoped. Since buying this my scalp is transformed. I used it daily until the dandruff was gone and use it once or twice a week alongside the T-gel stuff. I do still get the occasional flare up around the time of my period (but not every time as before), so I use this daily at those times and it keeps it manageable for those few days. It’s expensive but has been so worth it and I will continue to buy.

I have tried so many things for my really dry scalp and all of them have failed. This shampoo, used along with the scalp tonic, has worked wonders and my scalp no longer looks dry and all itching has gone. My hair no longer gets greasy and can be left for a week and still feel fresh- using the tonic every other night. I admit I do use a more nourishing conditioner ( not from the dry scalp range) but only use it on the lengths and am so happy to have great looking hair from the scalp down! Recommended highly!

Scalp shampoo
So the pros of this is that it is a huge bottle and lasts ages, it does work and reduces scalp problems. I find hair gets greasy quite quickly though and the price is eye watering. I suppose you get what you pay for. I have since found another shampoo which is a lot cheaper and just as good for my hair and scalp, unfortunately I won’t be buying this.

gentle and effective
I always stock up on the 1000mls bottle of this in the sales and it usually lasts me a whole year! I developed a very dry and itchy flaky scalp a few years ago after an long period of stress and using this shampoo with the coordinating scalp toner really keeps the flakiness and itchiness at bay. In also find some shampoos irritate the skin at the base of my neck but this one doesnt which I also appreciate. Only giving it 4 stars as on its own it's not as as effective than when used with the toner.

I ordered the smaller bottle of the same shampoo before and I was so delighted with this purchase. Therefore, I decided to order a bigger size one. Unfortunately, the consistency and colour are not the same in the bigger bottle. The product looks diluted. I am disappointed
