Philip Kingsley’s Overnight Scalp Barrier Serum with Triple Balancing Action is formulated to nourish the scalp’s natural barrier. The fast-absorbing formula is applied as drops to sections of the scalp, working to lock in moisture and minimise excess oil.
Powered by a Triple Balancing Action alongside aloe vera and AHA’s, the serum gently exfoliates and clarifies, while delivering a soothing sensation. The scalp serum is designed to be used overnight while you sleep and is suitable for all scalp types.

- When to Use: In the evening, the day before you wash your hair.
- Recommended Amount: 2-3 drops per section.
- Application: Fill the pipette by pressing down on the top of the dropper. To dispense, gently press again. Apply directly to the scalp in 4-5 sections, using 2-3 drops per section. Massage over your scalp gently. A soothing sensation can be expected. Do not rinse. Upon waking, wash and style as usual. For best results, repeat every evening.

Definitely improved flakiness but can leave greasy residue, you can only use this the night before wash day and I feel I could do with using a product like this maybe once more a week. Did need to shampoo an extra time also

Cooling
I received this item as a sample to review. Like others have said I wasn’t sure what to expect. On application it made my scalp feel really cool. Like a menthol product had been applied. It says to divide your hair into sections to apply. I have shoulder length hair and felt that I needed quite a lot in order to cover my scalp so I’m not sure how long it would last as it’s not a huge bottle. After it was left on overnight and washed out the following morning I can’t say I noticed any immediate difference. However on drying, my hair felt soft and dried smooth with no itchy scalp. This lasted a few days. The product says to wash every couple of days but I tend to wash mine after three. I don’t think I’d buy it again though as I have other products that excluding the cooling feeling, do the same for less.
