- Remove the cap, then gently roll the volcanic stone over your T-zone (across your forehead and down your nose), or anywhere you have excess oil.
- To clean, twist the locking ring around the stone clockwise to unlock, then remove the volcanic stone. Wash with warm water and your favourite gentle cleanser. Rinse and allow it to air-dry overnight before you lock it back in again.

I haven't noticed much difference. It takes too much TIME going over areas multiple times to get the matting effect. I thought the ball would be removable for cleaning but it's not = I'm assuming you have to roll it as you clean/rinse it every few days.
