Subtle but still visible over dark hair
I needed to dye my hair red for one day, as part of a cosplay, and to have my natural brown hair back for the next day's cosplay. I was really impressed with how much this showed over my dark hair. It obviously wasn't as bright as if it was over bleached hair but it was still visibly tinted. It didn't stain the skin much at all, and didn't leave me with a bright orange scalp which I was worried about. It also didn't smell bad and left my hair soft but not greasy at the roots because it wasn't too heavy. I used about two and a bit bottles to totally saturate my hip length hair. When it came time to wash out, I washed about 4 times with a clarifying shampoo and that was enough for the water to run mostly clear. The tint still showed under light for a few more washes, but it was a very even fade and looked nice at every point. I've stocked up a few more bottles for the next time I do that cosplay as I feel it's the best option for a truly temporary colour that looks great..

Although it was able to keep my copper hair bright it didn't last long. I found the colour faded drastically after one wash. Sadly, did not repurchase due to this.

A fantastic and budget-friendly hair toner I've purchased multiple times. I have naturally short brown hair with balayage highlights. This toner effectively maintains its color on my roots for approximately a week and lasts around a month on the bleached sections. IMHO it may appear slightly too intense in its orange undertones, it can be easily softened by blending it with a quality shampoo or conditioner.
