Treat dry, damaged and brittle hair to the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen, Grow & Restore Treatment Masque; a deeply nourishing formula made with natural, certified organic and ethically-sourced ingredients. Ideal for natural, colour-treated, chemically-processed or heat-styled hair.
After shampooing, apply a generous amount of the strengthening masque from root to ends. Pay particular attention to hair ends. Comb through for even distribution. Place a plastic cap over hair and sit under a warm dryer for 10-15 minutes. May be left on hair for up to an hour without heat. Rinse thoroughly. Style as usual.

Intense Smell
I used this product and the corresponding shampoo twice and ended up throwing them both away. This product has an incredibly intense smell. If you like candy-sweet smelling hair products then you'll probably like the scent. I don't generally like strongly scented products and I'd wish I'd known about the smell before I bought it. It's no more moisturising than other products I've tried but smells tens times as strong.

Naturally I have fine, curly hair that I get permanently straightened out. My natural hair color is brown, but I dyed my hair black with box dye for a while (bad idea). My hair was left very dry and damaged. This hair mask is amazing! It really brought m hair back from the dead - I now have my natural color and my hair is back to being soft and healthy. I see some people have complained about the smell, but I think it smells good.

Wish there was a non scented version :(
I recently bought and tried this. Just about everything about it was amazing, the price, the ease of application, my thick, curly and frizzy hair felt amazing....but I just couldnt get on with the smell :( It's weird because I just cant put my finger on why I don't like it but it really made me feel queasy and I've only ever been like that before with a well known 80's 'designer' perfume! Please lovely Shea Moisture people, can you create a non scented version?This would definitely be a 5 star + hair product for me if you could!

Does the job, I wish it smelled better
I did not see a miraculous change after using this as a deep-conditioning treatment, but it DID leave my hair softer and more moisturized so I have no complaints on that account. I will keep using it once a week or so and see if there's a long-term effect. However, I find the smell quite unpleasant (maybe it's the castor oil) which spoils that fabulous pampering experience that you kind of look for in hair masks and treatments.
