Best shampoo
I have been using Shea Moisture products for a very long time, I have tried most of them now but always returning to this one. I always double shampoo and I can easily have a week gap between washing my hair. My hair is so soft and shiny after this.

For “type 1” hair...
I have fine, straight type 1 hair and started using this shampoo because it was silicon free as seen on tiktok (lol) and heard from other reviews on various sites that the raw Shea butter one is best for my hair type. I found that it doesn’t lather as well as other shampoos (I previously used Aussie, Tresseme, Herbal Essences etc) which meant the first time I used it my hair was greasy towards the back of my head and under my ears so the second time I used it i was less liberal with it — which meant that it does get used up quite quickly for the price ! Same for the conditioner. However, I did find that my hair has felt a lot silkier and I brush it out while wet before putting heat protect products on etc after my shower, I found that it’s soooo much less knotty!! The brush goes straight through. Smell is ok, kinda pricier than what I’m used to but does have “clean” ingredients and I have definitely noticed a difference. Would recommend!

Not effective
Pretty and easy to use but make my hair electric and a bit drier than usual plus it give them a ‘dull not detangle’ look when not styled. It doesnt make them dry faster. I usualy have soft hair. Not satisfied with my purchase (I have thin mid long hair)

Not good for fine hair
I was a bit disappointed after having only read good things about Shea Moisture. My hair is fine so I guess this one is not recommended for fine hair. it left my hair feeling very heavy and nor proper clean.

Transitioning hair
This shampoo is a must for anyone with dried hair . I am transitioning to my natural curly hair and I cant tell how good this shampoo is to moisturize my hair . My hair is really dried and I enjoy washing it often, so this shampoo is the best choice because it doesnt dry out the hair and has a lovely scent 😍

Leaves hair greasy
The shampoo is very rich and creamy and leave the hair greasy after wash. I don’t feel my hair would be left any more hydrated or soft but heavy with cream and feels greasy only. I definitely regret buying it.
