Nourishing, protective and lightweight, SHU UEMURA ART OF HAIR Essence Absolue is infused with rich camellia oil to help protect the hair fibre against dryness, frizz and UV damage.
SHU UEMURA ART OF HAIR Essence Absolue offers intense nutrition and protection against sun damage. Your hair is left easier to detangle with a unique shine and a supple touch.
Directions of use:
- Apply 1-2 pumps from root through the lengths.
- Use before shampooing or as a leave-in product.
To use as a styling aid, apply 1 pump to your hands (a little goes a long way) and work through hair from mid-lengths to ends. To use as a pre-shampoo treatment, use 3-4 pumps and comb into dry hair before shampooing. To use as a conditioning treatment, apply 1 pump each to 4 sections of hair from mid-lengths through ends, and massage into scalp. Leave overnight and style as normal in the morning.

Flimsy packaging and not for fine hair
The day after the bottle arrived, the pump broke. A lot of product spilled and keeps spilling which is super annoying at this price point!I bought this oil after my hairdresser used it on me once but I find it’s really not a fit for my fine blonde hair. It makes my hair super greasy, plain flat, tacky and makes my hair look much darker. I’m not buying this again. What I also dislike is that it doesn’t help to detangle wet hair, which most oils do. I imagine this would be a better fit for very thick, very dry hair, non-blonde hair.

I wish I had discovered this oil and generally Shu Uemura products earlier. I knew of them when I had short hair, but since my hair has been long I have been using L'Oreal yet my hair would still not detangle. Having swapped to the SU products and in particular this oil, I no longer have problems coming my hair on a daily basis. In short, this oil and all the other Shu Uemura products are fantastic for long hair!

Best hair oil for colour treated hair
This is hands down the best hair oil I have come across because it does nourish very well without making them looking oily. It smells amazing and it has very light consistency while helping with untangling hair and making hair look great.
