Providing all-day freshness, Sol de Janeiro’s Rio Deo Aluminum-Free Deodorant is a multi-tasking formula that protects against odour-causing bacteria while nourishing the skin.
Enriched with tapioca starch to help absorb excess moisture, papaya enzyme to gently exfoliate and coconut oil to hydrate, the deodorant encourages the appearance of smoother underarms that feel dry for longer. Brazilian bacuri and mango seed butter promote a soothing effect, helping to diminish the look of redness and razor burn. Infused with the luscious Cheirosa 40 scent, this ultra-nourishing formula will leave a long-lasting dreamy aroma on the skin.

I’ve been wanting to try this for a while as I’ve recently switched to non aluminium deodorant. I’ve tried 3 or 4 different ones now and this is one is really good. The fragrance throughout the day isn’t as strong as I thought it would be but that’s ok. It worked really well and I’ll repurchase. Please LF, stock the refills!

The only deodorant I use
I switched from a regular deodorant to this one about a year ago while on a quest to go aluminium free. I’d read reviews before hand, and they were mixed, but I decided to give it a go as I absolutely adore this scent. Many reviewers who raved about it said to give your body (your pits?) time to adjust, as going from using aluminium to not using it is a bit of a journey. There was some adjustment. I’d have this sort of weird sweet smell for a few weeks that didn’t exactly smell bad, but it wasn’t particularly nice either. Once the adjustment period had passed, that weird sweet smell had gone, and now I just smell nice. I do use a few swipes for when I get out of the shower of an evening, then about 5/6 swipes in the morning before I get ready for the day. I find I very rarely smell, if at all, even after gym sessions or long runs. I only wish they would sell refills as it feels really wasteful to have to throw the whole container away every time I need a new one. But that is my only gripe.
