Another ineffective waste of time and money.
Alpha arbutin is a naturally occurring derivative of hydroquinone (Considered by some to be the ‘gold standard’ for skin lightening, despite issues and the fact it’s banned in the UK). I thought, ‘this must be good!’ I was wrong. Perhaps it’s down to absorption, and some people naturally absorb more active ingredient. It’s supposed to take up to 12 weeks to notice improvement, but after 6 months I see none at all. I’ve tried just about everything to lighten the increasing dark patch on my face. Retinol, alpha Arbutin, tranexamic acid, glycolic acid, even adapelene, which is supposed to help even out skin colour. Nothing works. Congratulations to those who claim improvements, but as far as I’m concerned this is a totally ineffective product.
