Perfect the complexion with The Ordinary Coverage Foundation with SPF 15 by The Ordinary Colours; a full-coverage foundation that arrives in a comprehensive shade range. With added SPF15, the foundation offers essential protection as well as coverage, which is ideal for daily use.
Enriched with a higher level of pigment to the serum foundation, the coverage formula boasts a rich, saturated effect, yet remains lightweight. Utilising treated pigments suspended in The Ordinary’s proprietary spreadability system, the foundation guarantees a natural looking, long-lasting finish that resists collecting in fine lines and appearing cakey. The foundation offers a coveted, full-coverage effect with semi-matte results, leaving the complexion flawless all day.
The makeup is available in 21 different shades, which are divided up into 3 categories. 1 is designed for fair to lighter skin tones, 2 for medium tones and 3 for dark. Each category is classified further by a second digit ranging from 1 to 3, to indicate its depth within a category. Finally, the letter at the end of the shade indicates its undertone; P for pink, R for red, N for neutral and Y for yellow.
A small number of shades boast an additional letter, S for silver highlights and G for gold. These foundations are infused with fine dispersions of metallic effect pigments, which add a luminous radiance to the complexion.

Shake before use. Dispense a small amount into the palm or the back of your hand. Smooth on and blend throughout the face, ideally outward from the midpoint of the face.

This foundation is light to medium coverage and did break up on my face even when I used a Laura mercier setting powder on top. It never seemed to set and dry, it was kind of slimy / tacky and started wearing odd throughout the day . I ended up throwing it away in the end. The formula is thin and watery and does not last. I’m 36 with normal to oily/ spot prone skin. Also I’m very sensitive to products. I used the colour 1.2y which was a lovely shade, creamy with yellow undertones. It didn’t oxidise much which is a bonus but the wear of it wasn’t good for me.

Better than expected
I had heard many great things about The Ordinary foundation and I didn’t expect much considering the price is pretty low but it actually sits beautifully on my skin and doesn’t cake when I apply a bit of powder on top. I have combination skin and it worked just as well on my dry areas as it did on my oily t-zone. Didn’t even have to use much as a little bit of product went a long way. Definitely repurchasing!

The ordinary
Although they call themselves the ordinary, they are anything but. This is fantastic, I have searched for years to try and find the perfect foundation that doesn’t show all the pores on your face and goes flakey hours after application. This product is light weight with full coverage when used in conjunction with the serum and for the price you really can’t go wrong for both serum and foundation is still cheaper than over the counter foundations but look like you’ve spent a fortune. My years of search is over....

I like a full coverage and I wouldn’t say this is. I’d say this was medium. It’s nice and dewy and blends out nicely. I just prefer my double wear or mac studio fix. But for a light summer coverage it’s a nice cheap foundation. I’ve been using it since we’ve been isolating so I don’t have to use up my expensive ones. And I’m really Happy with it. I use a bit of tarte shape tape or benefit boing cakeless Concealer if I want a bit more coverage. And ive been happy. I probably wouldn’t purchase again- but if you like a medium coverage I’d recommend.

Good coverage poor colour match
I loved this value for money foundation however I found that the colour matching was very poor. I am quite fair skinned naturally but I wouldnt say I was very pale and I found the light neutral colour for me to be exceptionally dark even for me when I had fake tan on my face. I believe that the lighter colours are still very dark and would recommend anyone buying this would perhaps buying a lighter shade than they would normally buy to compensate. I hope this review helps with matching the correct colour for your skin.

I bought this on a whim as I was recommended one of their serums and I was not disappointed! I have a lot of foundations but this is by far the cheapest with amazing results!
