Formulated to provide mild exfoliation, the Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2% Superficial Peeling Formulation from The Ordinary promotes a smoother, more evenly-toned complexion.
The serum is fortified lactic acid, an exfoliating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), to help improve the appearance of pigmentation, uneven skin tone and texture. The addition of a Tasmanian pepperberry derivative helps to soothe sensitive skin, while hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture.
Contraindications: Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Directions.
Apply once per day, ideally in the PM. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.)

Summer exfoliation!
It's summer in my part of the world, so I thought it would be better to get a milder exfoliant from the Lactic 10, I love this! It's mild so I can use 2 times a week.

Keritosis Pilaris godsend!!!
I use this on my face twice a week in combination with various other products from The Ordinary to amazing affect. However, I recently had great success in using it to treat keritosis pilaris (red bumps on the upper arms). Since puberty (I'm now 30) I have had keritosis pilaris on my upper arms and shoulders and I gave up long ago on trying to eliminate it. I recently read that lactic acid can be beneficial to reduce the signs of KP, and as I already own this product I thought I would give it a try. I've been applying a few drops to the affected area twice a week for about a month, and the difference is phenomenal! I can't remember the last time the tips of my arms were this clear and smooth! Remember - you must use SPF when using this product, so please remember to wear sunscreen whenever you are outdoors!

It's the best product I've ever used on my face, there were IMMEDIATE noticeable positive results. My face just seems so much happier now. I had to purge originally so there were plenty of whiteheads but that's to be expected, and my face has never been so glowy and soft and just all around happy. I had lots of texture and colour issues and they're all clearing up (it's only been a few weeks). Will definitely continue to buy. I had no irritation or anything so will be going for 10% next but I'd recommend to start with 5.
