This gentle cleanser works to effectively remove makeup without drying out the skin. The Squalane Cleanser from The Ordinary is gentle enough for daily use unlike other makeup removers, as this effective emollient hydrates the skin and helps to protect the natural moisture barrier to prevent drying and tightness. The balm-like formula warms to a clear cleansing oil texture to provide a thorough cleanse, helping to remove makeup, oil and impurities.

Rub the cleanser in your palms to warm it until it melts into an oil. Massage into dry skin, then rinse with warm water.

Mild and nice
Perfect in the winter time, to easily clean my face without stripping the skin for moisture. I use this on make up free days, and always in the morning. A little goes a long way, and the packaging is both nice and practical.

Great make-up remover

Best makeup remover
I was reluctant to try this product due to the 'squalane' texture since I thought it would be rather oily and I have acne prone skin. Surprisingly though, this cleanser does magic to my skin, specially when removing makeup. It quickly removes all makeup, including waterproof formulas, without drying out my skin but also without giving it a heavy greasy finish. It balances out my skin so it's great after a long day to get rid of all the impurities. Also, it's a handy size for travelling. Highly recommended.

Does the job
This is a decent cleanser but is quite a small size. It didn't last more than 3 weeks for me. It took a lot of work to remove my mascara which is not even waterproof. If you only wear minimal makeup I'm sure this will work for you but I'm going to try something else next.
