I have bought cheaper versions in the past and they are useless after a few uses. I read an article which explained how important it is to cut nails with precision to avoid any nail infections. These clippers are really sharp but if you have thickened toe nails you will struggle to cut them as they don't open wide enough I had high hopes of these but was disappointed with them
