The packaging has been designed with microfine slashed knurling in a crosshatch pattern for added grip when applying.

After giving the bottle a good shake, lean your elbow on a stable surface to keep your hand steady while you apply. Then, just draw down into your lashes so the upper part of the line is sharp and even.
