Weleda Skin Food treats dry skin to some much-needed TLC. The award-winning cream features a thick, rich texture that provides long-lasting moisture while acting as a protective barrier on the skin to defend against dryness and environmental stressors.
Suitable for use on the face and body, especially areas prone to dryness like the feet, hands and elbows, the formula is enriched with a soothing blend of wild pansy extract, calendula, rosemary, sunflower seed oil and chamomile. The moisturiser intensely hydrates and conditions the skin, leaving it nourished and radiant. Suitable all year round but ideal for cold, winter months, the cream is scented with a refreshing infusion of sweet orange and lavandula.
A little goes a long way, so apply sparingly. This very rich cream is best applied to the face by gently patting on, so as to avoid dragging the skin. Elsewhere on the body, gently smooth into the skin until the cream is absorbed. To deeply nourish hard-working, dry hands apply liberally, cover with gloves and leave overnight.

After using if for a few months my conclusion is that it is quite a heavy and thick moisturizer. I find it easy to blend in when used alongside a serum or second moisturizer. It may be too oily/greasy/thick for oily and shiny skin types (works just fine under makeup though) but is perfect for sensitive skin in my opinion. It also acts as perfect and dewy base for makeup and creates a slightly tacky base.

This is a thick moisturiser that will take time to soak in. It makes your skin super soft and hydrated, but i wouldn't advise using before going out, or doing make up, as it can make your skin look and feel a little greasy. I use it every night before bed and my skin feels amazing in the morning!

I bought this cream as a lot of people love it. I find that it is so thick on my skin and it is actually a bit difficult to apply. Despite this I would highly recommend using this product at night before you go to sleep as I find that it is too heavy to wear as a day time moisturiser. And at night it gives it time to properly sink in to your skin. I think this product would be brilliant for you if you have really dry skin. But if you are like myself with normal skin type I find that it is a little too heavy. I have actually bought Weleda Skin Food Light and it has worked much better for me. It is easier to apply and you can wear it as a day time moisturiser.
