Weleda Skin Food treats dry skin to some much-needed TLC. The award-winning cream features a thick, rich texture that provides long-lasting moisture while acting as a protective barrier on the skin to defend against dryness and environmental stressors.
Suitable for use on the face and body, especially areas prone to dryness like the feet, hands and elbows, the formula is enriched with a soothing blend of wild pansy extract, calendula, rosemary, sunflower seed oil and chamomile. The moisturiser intensely hydrates and conditions the skin, leaving it nourished and radiant. Suitable all year round but ideal for cold, winter months, the cream is scented with a refreshing infusion of sweet orange and lavandula.
A little goes a long way, so apply sparingly. This very rich cream is best applied to the face by gently patting on, so as to avoid dragging the skin. Elsewhere on the body, gently smooth into the skin until the cream is absorbed. To deeply nourish hard-working, dry hands apply liberally, cover with gloves and leave overnight.

Miracle cream
Tried this moisturiser before during winter to protect my skin and it also worked very well under my foundation. I didn’t mind the thickness and I found my skin feeling better and better after applying it. Recently, my boyfriend started using it as a hand cream after his skin started peeling off and cracking due to the frequent hand washing. He swears by it now. Always wears it before bed and his skin has improved massively!

A dissapointment
I had heard so many great things about this moisturiser so decided to give it a try - but was disappointed. I have very dry skin but this thick consistency just wouldn't sink it. My skin felt quite sore after trying to rub and pat it in so much. It also created a greasy barrier on my skin and felt a bit sticky throughout the day. Sadly, I am not a fan.

Great for dry skinn
I purchased this after seeing great reviews online. I had overdone acids/retinol in my routine and this had left a red sore patch on my cheek. Skin food really helped moisturise and it felt like it almost created a barrier. I have combination skin that is prone to spots. I was worried that with it being so thick I would get spots but I was left with nothing but soft skin! Would definitely recommend.

It has an ultra-thick consistency, so you have to pat it into the skin rather than rub it – otherwise you’ll end up tugging and dragging your skin too much. I used this mainly as a lip sleeping mask and it worked wonders for my constantly dry lips. However, I won’t be re-purchasing as it isn’t a vegan formula.

Great food for dry skin
It has been difficult to find in the market a cream that is thick enough for my dry skin and I have finally found it. Weleda is rich and dense but easy to apply and when I wake up in the morning my skin is radiant and grateful! I also really like its very distinctive smell, it is different but pleasant. Nourishing
I've used this and the light version for a few months now. It is great for super sensitive skin and I've now purchased this for my partner and 4 teens to use as I think it's fab for all skin types. It helps with dry areas as well. If your skin is oily or for day time i use the lighter version and them use this in the evening. We also use this on our hands and body. This is one of the best most intense moisturisers i have used which doesn't make my skin flare up or my eyes react. I like to use this as a mask and apply thickly. Especially great for if you have damaged your skin barrier. If its a bit too rich and I need less help I like to mix it with LRP Cicaplast Balm, to get goodness and reduce redness. the smell is also so nice, reminds me of lemon balm plant
