The powder is designed to be mixed with water-based skincare products, quickly dissolving to create an undetectable, smooth texture. The formula offers more direct exposure to Niacinamide than that of the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum, offering a DIY experience for custom, personalised usage. Combine with non-conflicting skincare products to address multiple skin concerns at once.
Caution: We do not recommend combining Niacinamide with topical Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid, Ethylated L-Ascorbic Acid and Vitamin C derivatives) in the same regimen. If Vitamin C is used as part of your skincare regimen, we advise to apply them at alternate times with this formula (ideally Vitamin C in the PM and this formula in the AM). In addition, we do not recommend dissolving Niacinamide Powder in Direct Acids. Please refer to the brand’s Mixing Guide for guidance in selecting suitable dissolving bases.
Mix a quarter scoop of the spoon provided with a water-based treatment in the palm of your hand and apply to the face in the morning and/or evening. Avoid contact with eyes, if contact occurs rinse thoroughly with water. Wash hands after handling. Do not mix with formulations with a pH of 5 or lower. If irritation occurs, rinse off, cease use, and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised. Refer to this website for a patch test guide, regimen guide, and product compatibility. Keep out of reach of children.

When it comes to the choice of a water-based base to mix with this formula, there are several options available within The Ordinary brand. These include the following:

- Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
- “Buffet” + Copper Peptides 1%
- Matrixyl 10% + HA
- Argireline Solution 10%

good so far
Have been using it only for a month. First found it hard to mix well with moisturizes. Then I found that if I add a little bit of rosewater to my palm to the moisturizer, then the powder can be mixed well and fully dissolved, does not remain grainy.

Good product
I like this product. I was struggling to fit Niacinamide into my routine, so it was great to be able to mix this with one of my water based serums. Unfortunately after continued (and careful) use I learned the hard way that my skin is sensitive to niacinamide so I had to discontinue use. Only criticism is I wish the little spoon it came with measured the exact amount that should be used.

I have been using this mixer in my daily serum for years now. This was jist to top up my srash and I'm more than halfway through the other. My skin has amazing clarity, and I put it down to this product. everything else I have swapped up, apart from this and my spf50

Keeps my skin clear
I love this product. I add a but to my daily moisturiser. If I feel a spot coming I rub a bit on directly and it usually makes it go before it has come up

Really settles my skin
This product is fantastic. I mix it with my moisturiser and it really calms my skin so I have seen a huge reduction in breakouts

Lasts ages
If you put too much on you can break out in spots and irritate the skin so be careful. The measuring spoon is annoying as had a scoop is one application. Why not just make a smaller scoop?? I can’t see I saw much difference to my skin though

Game changer
I love product as you can add it to any of your serums or creams. Mixes really well serums. It lasts such a long time that it's the most value for money product I have.

Not the best!
I brought this to try as it’s useable with the “The Ordinary” face serum I use. Both me and my daughter have tried this and unfortunately it leaves a “gritty” feel to the skin, an also caused dry patches.
