The 5% Alpha Lipoic Acid from The Ordinary offers a stabilised, exceptionally high concentration of Alpha Lipoic Acid to visibly improve skin texture and tone.
When applied topically on skin, the advanced treatment delivers a pure form of Alpha Lipoic Acid: an enzyme that boasts exceptional antioxidant properties, helping to combat free radical damage and inhibit protein molecule cross-linking that leads to wrinkles developing.
The fluid, multi-tasking formula works to minimise the appearance of pores and fine lines as well as alleviate discolouration and unevenness. As a result, your complexion is left feeling more refined and taut with a youthful looking radiance.

Please Note: Alpha Lipoic Acid is highly sensitive to sunlight. Please do not expose to direct sunlight. Application to face is recommended at nighttime only.
This formulation contains an extremely high concentration of ALA. Daily use is not recommended since such a high frequency of use can cause skin sensitivity. Please follow suggested use frequency.

I knew about the properties of Alpha Lipoic Acid from sampling Perricone MD products, which offer the anti-ageing and brightening qualities of ALA but at a significantly higher price. In my opinion this serum is better: immediately effective, targeted and easy to use, plus at a fraction of the price. There is a light tingle and a feeling of gentle heat when first applied, but in no way did it irritate my skin.The serum is powerful so should only be used 3 days a week, but applied at night with a moisturiser, the morning reveals a skin that definitely looks more youthful and even. Very good for taking the fire out of any emerging blemishes/ potential acne scars too!
