Pleasantly surprised
5I was doubtful over whether this product would really do anything for my hair but decided to give it a go because I love some of the other The Ordinary products. From over-straightening and an extreme side parting in my teens, the left side of my front hairline was extremely thin, I also had a really dry flaky scalp in some areas. Within a couple of weeks of using this the dryness on my scalp had cleared up, so I was already impressed with the product and thought that would be it for the benefits but I continued to use it everyday anyway. It's now been 4 months of using it and I have more hair in the previously thinning patches than I have had in the past 10 years! This isn't a quick fix but in my case the patience has definitely been worth it!

Hair line
5I always take pictures of my hair line to see if it's getting bigger. I applied this serum on that line (where I divide my hair) and I can see many more small hair growing. I can see the line smaller and less wide. I do feel it works, and will buy again as soon as it's back in stock.

Unimpressed
2I bought this hair serum a few weeks ago and haven't been impressed with it. The serum is very thin and runny and so it's not easy to use the pippet around your hairline as it can very easily run down your face if you don't massage it in quickly. It leaves hair feeling very wet so it also isn't nice to use before bed. I haven't found any benefit in using it yet but this may develop over time. I wouldn't recommend this product if you're looking for quick results.

2I suffer with hair-loss and reduced growth. And I'm a female in my 20's. I believe it to be genetic and progressive - I'm otherwise healthy. I realise these things cannot be solved easily, on a low budget or with a single serum. But I gave it a go and this review is for anyone who identifies with my hair condition... this has not made any changes to my hair. Not even on a superficial level and I found it to be slightly irritating to my already itchy scalp. Maybe this is OK if you have a fine/thin hair type and want a little boost. But if you are searching for something to help reduce hair fall/promote hair growth or increase density (as it states the latter)... This is not the one. I'm not slamming the product but if you have real hair concerns like myself, this was not effective for me.

Waiting for results
5Too early to give really positive comments but I’m optimistic that results will come. A brand presenter on a shopping channel recommends using every day for 60 days, so I will review again when I make my next purchase.

Excellent!
5I have been purchasing this for over a year, and use it every night before bed. No difference with hair loss or growth but it 100% helps reduce my itchy scalp problem which I've had for years. When it flares up really bad I start to use this morning and night and within a few days it starts to calm down. Love this product!

Brilliant.
5I’ve used this now for a year and it’s amazing. No it isn’t a miracle product and it won’t make your hair grow really long really quickly. What it will do though is help your already growing hair become stronger and stay healthy. My hair was thinning around my hairline from wearing my hair up quite a lot, I don’t wear my hair up as often anymore because it’s grown in a lot thicker and doesn’t look as sparse anymore. It does what it says, I use it 2/3 time’s a week whenever I wash my hair once it’s dry I use it. It doesn’t leave any residue on my hair and my hair doesn’t look greasy/oily afterwards. It’s also a nice excuse for a head massage too. I highly recommend this product, I’ve also got my brother hooked on this stuff as he had thinning hair/receding hairline and his hair is a lot fuller/thicker now. I have thick hair and a bottle lasts me around 2/3 months.

I really recommend it!
5I have a strong hair loss during some last month. At the same time my hair is very weak, frizzy, fine and damaged now. I've read many different reviews about different products for hair and in the end I was lost. There are so many products and so many opinions! This product attracted my attention because it is not still well-known and the brand is quiet new. So I could get my independent opinion. The bottle is finishing now so I can have some conclusions already about it. My hair loss is much less, I can see new hair growth and it looks even stronger near the roots. I tried to use it almost every evening and at the same time I take hair supplements. I am going to continue to use it and buy again one bottle for me and one for my mother. I think this product is very good!

Excellent hair growth
5As I really rate The Ordinary I thought I’d try the hair serum on a balding patch on my hair line. I’ve been very conscious of this patch for several years. I put the serum only along my hair line and after a couple of months new fine hair began to grow and I am DELIGHTED! Although the new hair is fine it’s filled in the balding patch and I’m now more confident in how my fringe looks. It no longer gaps in that area. After I’ve rubbed the serum into my hairline I gently go over my eyelashes and they too are longer and darker. This is my second bottle and I now use it several times a week, not every say now that the hair growth has established.

It’s Ok
4I’ve been using this for about a month. I’ve seen some minor difference but no real hair growth. I’ve been using it on the front of my hair that’s gotten a bit thin Recently mixed with hair vitamins
